Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why does my VT have black bars either side?
If your video has been made in 4:3 format, for display on an old style TV or a computer screen, it will display with black bars either side. HMX Gallery displays all videos in a 16:9 widescreen format, which corresponds to the majority of video we make these days.
What file type should I download?
Until your video programme is completed and signed off, you do not need to download anything. Once it is finalised, we will make the versions you need and put them on here, so they will show up as one of the following file types;
- WMV - Windows Media Video, for use on a PC to either run on its own or for embedding into PowerPoint.
- MOV - QuickTime movie. Often better quality, but needs the QuickTime Player installed to run on a PC, often included as standard.
- DOC - A Word format file with a script or transcript.
